Elegant Tea Party Menu
Having a Tea Party for you baby shower theme can be quite sophisticated and has been a traditional social gathering for women for decades. And if the weather is nice, you could have the party outside. But don’t let it stop you from having the tea party inside if the weather doesn’t cooperate.
To add a little fun for the guests you could suggest that each wear a hat and gloves. Lacy handkerchiefs would make lovely favors. A vase of any type of flower that is growing in your yard would make a beautiful table centerpiece. Pastel colors would be very elegant and understated.
Offer an assortment of teas with cream, honey, or lemon. I’ve listed several recipes that you could pick and chose from. Two or three different finger sandwiches or scones with an array of jams or preserves, fresh fruit, and of course the shower cake round out the menu.
